Andrea’s house ran out of milk today and it was my turn to take care of the kids. So I strapped the three in the quad stroller and walked them downhill to Vons. It was pretty fun watching people turn their heads to see little me with three girls and this huge tank-like stroller. I was even more proud of myself that I could huff and puff them up and down a somewhat steep hill on the way home. Finally after a heart rate of one million beats per minute under a hot morning sun, we arrived home along with two milk jugs and some asparagus. But this wasn't the funnest part of my adventurous morning.
After settling the kids into their playroom, I took about five minutes in the kitchen to prepare and steam the asparagus. Upon tossing the last chopped stem into the boiling water, I heard a bang bang bang on the baby sound monitor. Upstairs Rebecca was slamming the catch cup of the portable potty seat into the big person toilet but dropped all the poopy contents to the floor. Pee also oozed toward the bath rug, which my feet first discovered with splash. What a big mess to disinfect. So there I was in the bathroom giving all three girls a bath that only a very dirty Rebecca needed.
