Too many memories to organize in a married mother's mind. What better way to get it out of my head than to write about my journey as a sister riding the adventure with my mommyhooded kind. I desire no impact onto others but a gratitude for being transparent.

Breaking up is hard to do
Who ever thought that losing a home due to loss of income would feel like breaking up a relationship? Grieving is really a hard matter in life. All the happy memories that made our home an entity. I am thankful that we are not quite homeless since mom and dad took us in, but feeling at home here is not the same as coming home to our own 4 walls of privacy with our own sets of rules and boundaries for the kids. Unfortunately here at the grandparents house we've lost some control over where the kids go when they are outside the home with the grandparents. Anyways, David and I are looking forward to moving out of here. We are taking up space. I want my own place for my girls. David needs to get happy. I deserve a happy marriage. It's time to move on, but we have at least one more year to wait until we could be financially restored since the loss of our home and income. Mom and dad aren't charging us much to live here but we really are using up lots of their water, space, and energy. Lord help us cope.

Certificate of Deposit
Today was a very financially accomplished day for the Miller family. We pulled out my matured Certificate of Deposit from WAMU and placed it into an Easy Start C.D. at Navy Federal plus we got Breanna her own Easy Start C.D. with a 4.7% annual interest rate. Hooray! Now I could live in peace for a while.

Tough World
Tonight was a rough yet enjoyable night. I never thought that I would actually go to a (Journey) concert with my parents which they paid that costed twice my cell phone bill. The concert experience was wonderful but the wait to commence was terrible. Why did we get into a conversation about finances anyway in the already tight money situation that we're in? Yep. Money talk. Mom expressed how she can't trust me any more and that I am a failure in her eyes for being so broke and dad told me to move away from the state and the sooner the better. Is it so easy for them to let me go. Sheesh.

66 Cents
Okay, we've got two more weeks until our next paycheck and $0.66 is holding us together in our bank account! Yikes! We've got almost no food in our pantry and I am afraid. Fortunately Andrea introduced us to a family run business that buys expired (or nearly expired) foods or foods in damaged containers for $25 a cart. I stopped into the store and almost cried. I never thought that I would reach this level of tight living. I felt like the prodigal son begging for father's acceptance. All these years I've ignored my mom and dad's financial guidance and look where it's got me. I'm actually glad that I'm learning it this way because I improve with perserverance through hardship and this is really hard. Anyways, we got back lots of stuff: salad dressing, milk, eggs, bread, frozen meat in packages, frozen piglet feet in loose plastic bags (um - okay), and rice. I thank this service for existing but I really do prefer buying fresh.
