New Sleepytime Strategy

Putting Breanna through naptime at the twins' house had been a real struggle for me until today. Usually when the clock reads 12:45PM I get the girls through the night-night routine: change into a pull-up, read a book, hugs and kisses and Marisah and Rebekah in bed first, Breanna last. Rebekah is a fast dozer, Marisah not so, but Breanna is the most challenging. My objective was to have them all napping simultaneously so I sat inches from Breanna, focused 99% of my attention on her, kept my eye on the twins and trusted that they'd settle themselves. Each time Breanna tried to make an excuse from sleeping (sinning begins early!) I tell her kindly to lay down and close her eyes. When it would usually take 45 minutes to get Breanna settled, it only took 5 minutes. This method is something child development experts call redirection and behavior modification.
